The FLF has started the new year with various celebrations. The Translators House Antwerp celebrated its first year anniversary with a dinner party for translators, authors and policy makers. This newsletter features a full report and pictures of the event. At the International Comics Festival in Angoulême, the Flemish comic artists built on last year's success. The FLF coordinated the presence of all Flemish participants and noticed a considerable increase in applications for translation grants for graphic novels.


We further inform you about the winners of the Herman de Coninck Awards, the Flemish nominees for the Libris Prize, as well as authors Peter Theunynck and Marc Legendre who are in the picture on the webpages of respectively Poetry International and Words Without Borders.
