In May in the Translators' House: Stana Anzelj and Els Snick

In May, Stana Anzelj and Els Snick are staying in the Translators’ House.

 


Stana Anzelj is literary translator into Slovenian. She studied Dutch language and culture in Ljubljana. In the Translators' House, she will be working on the Slovenian translation of 'De autist en de postduif' by Rodaan Al Galidi. Previously, she translated amongst others work by Herman Koch 'Het diner' and Jan De Kinder 'Rood of waarom pesten niet grappig is'. 

 

Els Snick is freelance literary translator German-Dutch. Recent translations into Dutch are 'De blonde neger en andere portretten' and 'Hotelmens. Reportages en brieven' by Joseph Roth and 'Oostende 1936, zomer der vriendschap' by Volker Weidermann. In the Translators' House, she will be working on the Dutch translation of another novel by Joseph Roth, 'Juden auf Wanderschaft'.
