Duplex 202_salon.jpgRECIT wants to be the centre of works of European literary translators and offers accomodation for translators. It confronts them with different cultural settings and it also builds bridges between writers and translators, thanks to many literary events.

Since January 2009, the Translators House in Antwerp is governed by the Flemish Literature Fund (FLF). The first RECIT-house was founded on January 1 1978 in Straelen, in Germany.

Since then, the network has kept on growing and now has lodgings in the Baltic states, Great Britain, Spain, Belgium, France, Hungary, Greece and Switzerland.
