Comic exhibition at Universal Forum of Cultures in Chile

From October 22 to December 5, Chile (more precisely, Valparaíso) will be hosting the 2010 Universal Forum of cultures, an international cultural event which takes place every three years. The emphasis lies on lofty ideals such as peace, sustainable development, human rights and respect for cultural diversity.

For this exhibition, the Flemish Literature Fund created a show with 20 authors, whose only coherence lies in the negation of the title: they find each other in what they do NOT want to produce. They explicitly wish to create something new, something different, and are open to all influences.

For the Universal Forum of Cultures, the Flemish Literature Fund created a virtual twin. It consists of an interactive platform which allows the visitor to enter their world by a simple mouse click.

Naples in Italy will be the next host of the Universal Forum of Cultures in 2013.
