The original 'Van den vos Reynaerde' is a medieval story about lies and deceit in the animal (human) world. It had already been translated into French, German, English, Italian and Esperanto. With the Taiwanese edition, a Taiwanese translation is added to that list.
'Reinaart de vos, de felle met de rode baard' received the Plantin Moretus Prize for graphic design in 2007. Klaas Verplancke's illustrations were nominated for the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition in 2008, and for the Portuguese competition Ilustrarte in 2010.
