The participants will first delve deeper into actual Dutch literature and obtain a better understanding of Flemish and Dutch literature. Afterwards, theory makes room for practice, and the literary and language skills preside. Participants also need to be critical of their own work, and be able to consider more than one solution. Candidates for this course will be screened thoroughly in advance.
The first week of the summer course runs at the same time as the very first Intensive Studyweek for student-translators, who whould like to work in the field of literary translations (by 2012, a Master degree in Literary Translation will have become a reality).
