First of all, Anne Provoost will travel to the Adam Mickiewicz-University in Poznan. There she will attend a 'Belgian week' along with the Flemish writer Johan De Boose. At October 28, they will both read fragments from their work and discuss Flemish literature with students at the university.
Afterwards Provoost will be visiting Wroclaw, where she will give a lecture on 'In the shadow of the ark'. On November 6 and 7, she will promote the Polish translation of this novel on the Book Fair of Krakau.
Anne Provoost had her major breakthrough in 1994, with her youth novel 'Vallen' ('Falling'), which has also been turned into a film. Since then, her work has been translated in almost 20 languages. Due to the subtlety of her style and the multiple layers in her novels, she is a typical crossover writer.
