‘Poesie der Nachbarn' has become very renowned in Germany over the past twenty years. Every year, German poet Hans Till invites a selection of poets from a specific country to stay at the writers' residence in Edenkoben. Together with some German-language colleagues, he then works on translations of their work during a two-day workshop. This year, the focus is on Belgian poetry .
Three Flemish - Els Moors, Erik Spinoy and Dirk van Bastelaere - and three Walloon poets - Eric Brogniet, Karel Logist and Liliane Wouters - will travel to Germany at the end of June to attend the event.
The results will be published as an anthology of Belgian poetry by Wunderhorn Verlag in the spring of 2011. The book will be presented during a five-city tour in Germany.
