Willy Linthout to attend London Comica Festival

On Monday 23 November, Willy Linthout, will be attending the Comica Festival, a London-based international comics event. Linthout, in Flanders best known for his ‘Urbanus' comic book series, will be in conversation about his autobiographical graphic novel ‘Years of the Elephant' with former Children's Laureate Michael Rosen. Rosen wrote about his own son's death in ‘The Sad Book', beautifully illustrated by Quentin Blake.

In September, the English translation was published by Fanfare/ Ponent Mon. It was presented at the Small Press Expo in the United States, and sold out immediately.

 

The Flemish Literature Fund provided financial support to enable the release of both the English and Spanish translations.
