François von Hurter, co-founder of Bitter Lemon Press, is very pleased to have discovered the work of Geeraerts. In fact, he is looking to publish a second book by the author. This is likely to be ‘De ambassadeur' (The ambassador) in 2011.
Translation grant ‘The Public Prosecutor' decisive
This Spring, Bitter Lemon Press, a London-based publishing house focusing on thrillers and roman noirs, releases ‘The Public Prosecutor' by Jef Geeraerts. The original Dutch title is ‘De PG'.
This publication is the result of multiple conversations between the Flemish Literature Fund (FLF) and Bitter Lemon Press at the book fairs of London and Frankfurt in 2007 and 2008. It was of overriding importance to the publisher that they would receive a translation grant by the FLF.
