In de zon kijken' (Looking into the sun) paints the portrait of a mourning mother, seen through the eyes of a child. This is the novel that earned Provoost the Flemish Community Prize for Fiction (CultuurPrijs Vlaanderen), earlier this year.
The French translation is by Marie Hooghe, who previously translated works by Erwin Mortier.
As the result of the French translation, the publishing group Hachette put an interview with Anne Provoost on its website.
