Jelica Novaković-Lopušina teaches Dutch Studies at the University of Belgrade. She is literary translator into Serbian from Dutch and translated amongst others work by Hubert Lampo, Hugo Claus, Peter Terrin and Dimitri Verhulst.
Bojana Budimir works as an assistant at the Department of Dutch Language and Literature from the University of Belgrade. She translated amongst others 'De dromenwever' by Douwe Draaisma and 'H.P. Lovecraft - Het onzienbare en andere verhalen' by Erik Kriek into Serbian.
Jelica and Bojana work in the Translators' House together on a special edition of the magazine 'Erazmo', dedicated to Flemish literature. The magazine is published by the Center for scientific and cultural cooperation between the Serbian and the Dutch language area ARIUS.
Sofie Maertens is literary translator Norwegian-Dutch. In the Translators' House she will be working on her translation of ‘Zomer’ by Karl Ove Knausgård. She translates this title along with her Norwegian-Dutch translation partner Maud Jenje. Previously she translated work by Erik Bertrand Larssen and Oliver Bottini.
Marijke Arijs is journalist and literary translator French-Dutch. In 2010 she received the 'Prix de la traduction littéraire de la communauté française'. Marijke translates the novels by Amélie Nothomb. During her stay in the Translators' House she will be working on her translation of 'Riquet à la houppe', the latest novel by this author.
