The Frankfurt Book Fair, the most important literary meeting place in the world, again belongs to the hightlights of October. The grants managers of the Flemish Literature Fund (FLF) had more than hundred meetings with publishers, translators and festival organisations. The presentation of Flemish literature in film adaptations attracted a lot of people. In this newsletter, we pay special attention to the Taiwanese translation of 'Reinaart De Vos' by Klaas Verplancke en Henri Van Daele. We also have a look at the Flemish writer Erwin Mortier, who gets splendid reviews in the German press with his novel 'Divine sleep'. |
